Building universal trust through
digital transparency
The Global Digital Transparency Alliance (GDTA) is a coalition advancing standards, tools, and policy to strengthen public trust in the digital ecosystem.
Digital democracy

The Global Digital Transparency Alliance Group (GDTA) is a Not-for-Profit organisation, a coalition to advance practical transparency necessary to form Trust during information exchange across the digital ecosystem.
As AI systems scale and information flows accelerate, trust depends on shared ways to verify what content is, how systems work, and who is accountable. GDTA will bring together civil society, researchers, public agencies, and industry partners to co-design and pilot transparency standards and tools that are interoperable, rights‑preserving, and usable in the real world.
In the coming months, GDTA will publish Digital Transparency by Design Standards v0.1 that will underpin our Human Consent Protocol project focused to also enact Universal Privacy Controls. We will release an open implementation toolkit, and launch pilots across multiple regions through supported IP arrangements from our founding Members.
Right now we are seeking partners, grants or funding programs to contribute expertise, test in production, and help shape procurement and policy playbooks for adoption. If your organisation cares about trustworthy information, accountable AI, and open civic technology, we’d love to collaborate.

The problem
Trust in digital systems is falling as opacity grows. People, platforms, and public institutions need practical, shared ways to verify what’s happening online and how decisions are made.
Our Objective
To mobilise a global coalition to co-design, test, and scale digital transparency standards as a component of public infrastructure which is practical, interoperable, and are rights‑operated for all.
